International Youth Ice Climbing Meet (FFCAM)
January 1 - 6
Where: Guillestre (Hautes Alpes), France
Who: 16-22 years old

Join the French Alpine Club (FFCAM) in Guillestre (Hautes Alpes). This is the same location of the famous international Ice Climbing Festival of L’argentière la bessée. Competitors at the Youth Ice Climbing World Championship in Saas Grund are welcome to attend before their competition in Switzerland the following weekend. Something for novices to advanced level.

March 3-9
Where: Guillestre (Hautes Alpes), France
Who: 16-22 years old

You would like to improve your ice climbing skills, the single and multi-pitch technique and share the international experience. It is the chance for you to ask all your questions regarding ice climbing and make contact!

Discovering the world arround

July 14-20
Where: Valmalenco, Sondrio (Italy)
Who: 10-17 years old

A perfect mountain opportunity for 10 - 17 year olds and their leaders based in the beautiful Sondrio region of Italy in the Valmalenco entitled "Discovering the world around" hosted by Club Alpine Italiano (CAI). You will stay in the “Gerly Porro” Hut - 1960m  and have a chance to explore this fascinating mountain landscape including Sissone valley minerals, local people lives, alpine history, weather and transhumance, lake Palu and even a mining museum. Take this chance to share the mountains, techniques and experiences together with participants from different countries - and of course delicious Italian food. They are waiting for you.

Lenin Peak in Kyrgyzstan
July 27 - August 13
Where: Zaalaysky Range, the Pamirs, Kyrgyz Republic
Who: above 18 years. Participants should have high altitude mountaineering experience above 5,500m in snow and ice environmentsusing ice axe and crampons, be able to navigate and demonstrate snow and ice techniques, know how to protect themselves and know rescue techniques. They should also have a medical certificate to say there are no counterindications to high altitude ascents.

Join the Lenin Peak Expedition for an unforgettable experience of a 7’000 meters summit with international participants.

Youth Training Leader Course in South Africa
August 25 - 31
Where: Maretlwane Bush Camp, Magaliesberg, South Africa
Who: above 18 years

The Mountain Club of South Africa invites leaders having experience (or at least a genuine interest) in working with youth in the mountains. The main focus on the Training Course will be the responsibilities of Youth Leader, how to lead mountain walking and rock climbing activities. Participants will also have the opportunity to share ideas.

The Mongolian National Mountaineering Federation offers you the opportunity to practice many forms of rock climbing and discover different climbing areas in Mongolia.
