Ice Climbing 2012The 2012 Ice Climbing World Cup season is taking shape. Member Federations and athletes can register here On January 14 and 15, the season will kick off for the second year in a row with Lead and Speed competitions in Cheongsong, Korea, hosted by the Korean Alpine Federation. This event will also be the Open Asia Championship. New in 2012 will be World Cup competitions at Champagny en Vanoise, France. Once again, athletes will be competing in Lead and Speed disciplines at five venues spread across Asia, the Alps and eastern Europe. Events UIAA World Cup & Open Asian Championship - Korea 14 - 15 January Lead and Speed, Cheongsong, Korea Asia saw its first Ice Climbing World Cup event at Cheongsong in 2011. The Korean Alpine Federation is the host of the Lead and Speed competitions.
