Global Youth Summit held in Nepal for first time

The village of Khumjung, Nepal, that lies nestled in the shadow of Mount Everest, was the newest venue for the UIAA's expanding series of Global Youth Summit events.



Registration for 2012 Ice Climbing World Cup open

Indian Mountaineering Foundation elects new president

BMC international meet returns to The Cairngorms

The BMC International Winter Climbing Meet returns to The Cairngorms in 2012 and will be based at Glenmore Lodge. The Meet will run from Sunday 22nd to Sunday 29th January.



Italian climbing legend, Walter Bonatti, dies

Walter Bonatti, one of the greatest mountaineers of the 20th century - and UIAA honorary member, passed away on September 13 in Rome.

Bonatti was a UIAA honorary member.
