The American Alpine Club is hosting its annual International Climbers’ Meet (ICM), We would like to extend an invitation to all UIAA members to participate in this annual event to be held the week of Oct 7 - October 12, 2013 in Yosemite Valley.
A team of volunteers from French Alpine Club and the Alpine Club stand ready to help mountaineers match up with others if they are alone, give suggestions on what routes to climb, and most importantly keep them abreast of current conditions.

Jordi Colomer who is the Acting President of the UIAA Board discusses the year ahead for the organization. Colomer comes from Barcelona, Spain and has been a member of the UIAA’s Expedition and Mountaineering Commissions; he was President of the International Ski Mountaineering Committee from 1999 to 2007.
The Indian Mountaineering Foundation (IMF) has chosen veteran mountaineer Colonel H.S. Chauhan to become president of India's apex mountaineering body.
The BMC International Winter Climbing Meet returns to The Cairngorms in 2012 and will be based at Glenmore Lodge. The Meet will run from Sunday 22nd to Sunday 29th January.
