Slovenian mountaineers Knez and Karo awarded Slovenia's Order of Merit

The Alpine Association of Slovenia has announced that two of its leading mountaineers, Franc Knez (among mountaineers known as Franček Knez) and Silvo Karo, have been awarded Slovenia's Order of Merit. The decoration was given to them by Slovenian President Danilo Türk for their achievements in Slovenian mountain climbing and for their contributions to the reputation of Slovenian mountaineering and greater recognition of Slovenia in the world.
