International mountain adventure youth camp in Slovenia
22 Apr 2008
The camp is for young mountaineers 15-23 years old and will take place in the Bavšica valley, Julian Alps, Slovenia. Activities include via ferrata, bivouacking, orientation/ navigation, trekking, climbing, abseiling and rafting. The camp is also a great opportunity to meet new people from other countries and have fun at social evening activities. The cost is 220 Euros per person, to be paid to the organisers on arrival. This sum includes accommodation, full board, guiding, organisational costs, insurance and all other expenses for entrance fees and equipment for water activities during the camp. The camp is based at a mountain education centre in the beautiful valley called Bavšica, which has a new buidling inaugurated 10 July 1999. The entire centre is dedicated to mountain education courses and seminars. The centre has dining rooms, activity rooms and 40 beds and bunks and is a great starting-point for shorter and longer hikes. The main goals for the week is to come in contact with other young people, other cultures, other opinions, meet friends and find new friends, enjoying discussions together during tours, or at the evening-program. There will be an emphasis on nature protection and getting to know the people, history and features of the beautiful Trenta area.
