Masters Course in Managing Sustainable Mountain Development
16 Feb 2008
The Centre for Mountain Studies in Scotland is offering a scholarship for its Master of Science course in Managing Sustainable Mountain Development. Applicants from mountain areas of the new EU states will have priority.
The course has been offered by the UHI Millennium Institute since 2004. It is delivered on-line and part-time, so anyone living in Europe can follow the course from their home country.
The scholarship is available to one student starting the course in September 2008, with priority for mountain residents of the states that joined the EU in 2004 and 2007. The scholarship will cover all fees for the course. Candidates for the scholarship should apply in the normal way.
The deadline for applications for the scholarship is the 20th March. Short-listed applicants will be interviewed by phone on 15 April. The successful candidate will have to prove competence in English, and commit to take two modules each semester (September to December and late January to May) for two years and to undertake a dissertation in the third year.
