Best Practice Guidance

picture by Zdenka Mihelic

The downloadable documents on this page provide best practice information for climbing, mountaineering and walking access. The documents have been produced by the UIAA and partners, UIAA Member Federations and other organisations; some are aimed at the general climber, others at land managers, and all of the documents can be used by activists and UIAA Member Federations as a basis for access work in their own countries and climbing areas.

If you have a document that you would like to appear on this site please email it to office@theuiaa.org

The documents are currently downloadable under sub-headings. Some are available in more than one language
(denoted by flag, English , Spanish , Sweden , Welsh ;
click on the flag to download document).
