New UIAA Executive Board reports on positive start

General Assembly, UIAA

Following October’s General Assembly, the newly-formed UIAA Executive Board has already enjoyed two productive online meetings.

The EB has begun the process of addressing a number of key topics including the implementation of the Strategic Plan 2021 – 2024, its own internal organisation and individual roles, an evaluation and review of members’ needs, an alignment of Commission work and projects with the Strategic Plan as well as a review of finance, accounting and audit processes.

The increased international nature, and therefore wider geographical representation of the new EB, has already heralded a number of benefits and will ensure the UIAA addresses the needs of its global membership even more accurately and efficiently.

The calendar of 2021 EB meetings can be found on the UIAA website.

Further details on the EB’s activities, in particular individual responsibilities, will be communicated in due course.

A full review of the 2020 UIAA General Assembly can be viewed here.
