The UIAA is delighted to announce the dates for the 2018 UIAA Respect the Mountains events.
A fundamental part of its commitment to mountain protection, the Respect the Mountains series has been organised by the UIAA since 2016. Since when nearly 1,500 mountain users have united to collect nearly eight tonnes of waste from 18 events. The events, predominantly held in mountain resorts in Europe, combine direct action clearing of mountain slopes, paths and forests with educational activities based around the 7-Ways to Respect the Mountains and with outdoor activities.
The dates for the 2018 Series are:
8 July – Passo della Focaccia, Italy
22 July – Snowdonia National Park, Wales
27 July – Bregenzerwald, Austria
29 August – Tignes, France
15 September – Blue Grotto Belvedere, Zurrieq, Malta
21-22 September – Tenerife, Spain
29 September – 7 Ladders Canyon, Romania
