Skyrunning. Where earth and mountains meet. Now is your chance to take part in the first Matterhorn Skyrunning Workshop in the most iconic location – right on the mountain – from 17-22 June, 2022.
Sanctioned by the International Skyrunning Federation, UIAA unit member, the week-long Matterhorn Skyrunning Workshop is based in Cervinia, Italy, where the inventor of the sport and ISF President, Marino Giacometti, together with two skyrunning world champions, Franco Collé and William Boffelli, will hold the master classes on and around the Matterhorn – at altitude, on steep uphills, snow, and even steeper descents!
The base-line altitude of 2,000m makes it an excellent location for participants living at lower altitudes to test themselves. Lectures, videos and presentations will be held in the evenings.
Skyrunning legend, Bruno Brunod will attend, and the action will be captured by top skyrunning photographer Ian Corless.
The workshop is limited to 15 participants and only seven slots are still available.
Participants can also bring their partners who can do their own thing with e-Mtbs, hiking and yoga and join the group in the evenings.
The four-star host hotel, right in front of the Matterhorn, offers superb typical cuisine, shuttle services, physiotherapy, and a spa – all included!
No age limit, mountaineering or skyrunning abilities are necessary, but a good basic fitness level is required.
