DMM: New products on show at ISPO Munich

Safety

DMM will be exhibiting its latest products and developments from Jan 28 – 31 at ISPO Munich, hall A3 (booth 436). The PerfectO carabiner becomes DMM’s latest addition to its hardware range. Remarkably compact, it uses a new extra short gate to minimise eye-to-eye length whilst maintaining usability and easy one-handed use.

The true oval shape provides effective centring of loads and the fully rounds rope bearing areas increase carabiner and rope longevity.

The plain gate PerfectO with its clean nose is the perfect racking biner. The wide baskets keep wires tidy and identifiable while the colour options help to quickly differentiate between sets of wires. Available in March with screw gate, plain gate, Locksafe, Kwiklock, captive bar and iD options.

The new Slide Lock Leash will replace the DMM Standard and Choke Hold Leashes for winter walking and mountaineering. Intuitive in use and operable with one hand the vari-width wrist webbing ensures comfort without unnecessary padding or bulk; minimising water absorption. This leash will come as standard with the Cirque and Raptor ice tools and is also available as a stand-alone item.

For 2018 the ice tool range features updated colourways and laser marking. Alpine quickdraws will be available as 8 mm Dynatec extendable up to 60 cm in length with either clean nose Chimera or super light Phantom biners.

DMM will be taking ownership of the Stal Climbing brand. Looking ahead, Stal premium climbing wall anchors will be manufactured by DMM in Llanberis under its ISO 9001:2015 quality system and integrated into the DMM product range.

Stal Anchors are rated to 60 kN and provide genuine redundancy. Currently, there are three configurations available: the Lead Climbing Anchor with Alpha Sport carabiners, Bottom Rope Anchor with maillons and a stainless steel (316) version of the Bottom Rope Anchor.
