The UIAA published its Climber’s Manifesto in 2015, a concept governed by its ten pledges for climbers and mountaineers. The project covers several diverse facets of mountain ethics from leaving no waste, to respect, through to passing on skills and knowledge.
Throughout 2016, the UIAA has been exploring each of the ten pledges working with climbers, mountaineers and its expert Commissions to provide a more detailed, and anecdotal, context for these guides.
